Now that's a positive.

Your vehicle's battery is the life behind your car. From starting the engine to powering electronic components (like the radio and windows), the battery plays an important role. Generally, with regular maintenance and inspections, it can last an average of four years under normal conditions. Variables such as weather and driving conditions can, of course, affect a battery's performance. However, we use Genuine Audi Batteries, which are designed for great performance. There are two types of Genuine Audi Batteries:

Flooded Lead-Calcium Battery

Compared to a regular lead-acid battery, lead-calcium batteries are great for improved resistance to corrosion. They also minimize gassing and water usage, and they have a lower self-discharge rate, making them reliable and virtually maintenance-free. Plus, each battery is backed by a 4-year warranty.

Start-Stop Battery

Audi Genuine Start-Stop Batteries are reliable and maintenance-free, and they utilize Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology. AGM batteries are able to charge faster and are more resistant to high temperatures than Flooded Lead-Acid batteries. Start-Stop Batteries help ensure consistent power for all other functionalities during the start-stop process, and they come with a 4-year manufacturer's warranty.

When Should I Replace My Battery?

There are many factors that can affect the life of a battery, which means predicting when a battery will die isn't an exact science. However, there are indicators that your vehicle's battery may be on its last leg. Have you had your battery for three or more years? It would be a good idea to look out for signs of a failing battery:

  • Dashboard warning lights
  • Corrosion on the battery terminals
  • Dim lights
  • Difficulty starting the engine

If you think your battery is on its way out, stop by our service center. We'll test the battery and advise you on the best course of action.
